Blaine Gardening Program - Kombucha and Introduction to Fermented Vegetables In-Person
Please join us for this CORE Gardening program rescheduled from July 23rd.
This ancient health beverage has been recently popularized in the U.S. but has been consumed for several thousand years in northern Mongolia. Come and learn about the benefits of this fun, refreshing drink. Step-by-step instructions on how to brew your own Kombucha! Samples of different flavorings will be available. Also, all participants will be going home with their own SCOBY to be able to start brewing their own Kombucha. In closing, we will also discuss the health benefits of fermented vegetables (think pickles and sauerkraut). Handouts with detailed instructions will be available.
