Whatcom Historical Places

Whatcom Historical Places Online

Join us for a virtual history walk through Whatcom County!

We will explore local state Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation sites that are near WCLS libraries or bookmobile stops. Learn about some of the interesting places that you can visit such as Pioneer Park in Ferndale or the Judd Porter Barn in Everson. Why is the Lynden Post Office significant? What is unique about the U.S. Border Station in Sumas?

Lynden Library Assistant Manager Wendy McLeod will share images and videos as she describes a bit of the history and architecture of Whatcom County.
