CANCELED: Opioid Education and Overdose Prevention In-Person
NOTICE: Currently, public health best practices to reduce the spread of COVID-19 include limiting access to the places where people congregate. Consistent with Whatcom County schools, we have made the decision to follow public health guidance and close to the public, beginning Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 24, or longer as needed.
Whatcom County Health Department will host this overdose prevention education session. Learn from a public health nurse what an opioid is, how to identify signs of overdose, and how to respond with Naloxone. Receive information on the administration, storage, handling, and procurement of this lifesaving medication.
