Privacy Online 2020 In-Person

You’ve probably heard that data on your buying habits, your phone calls, your activities, your friends, practically everything about you, is harvested, analyzed, and sold while you use your computer. Would you like to know how much your data is worth on the open market? (Usually more than a cup of coffee, less than lunch.) If you have nothing to hide, what difference does it make? How can you become more private? Is it worth the trouble? Marv can help you answer these important questions.

Marv Waschke is a 4th generation Whatcom county native who wrote his first computer program in 1967 for extra credit in a chemistry class. He designed and developed enterprise service and network management software for many years for Fortune 500 banks, insurance companies, manufacturers, and government agencies. He has written two books on cloud computing architecture and a book on personal computer security.
