Banned Books Week Kick-off
Celebrate the pleasure of unrestricted reading and bring your family to the Van Zandt Hall for a free screening of the 2009 movie based on the Maurice Sendak book Where the Wild Things Are with the South Fork Valley Community Association and the Deming Library. After the movie, browse a selection of banned book titles for check-out and enjoy light snacks and refreshments. Banned Books Week is a national celebration of the freedom to read and will be held September 24 – 28, 2018.
