Once, Lummi Island was a township with its own school district and two school houses. Learn about the young single women who came here as teachers and left a legacy that lives on today. Isaac Colgan presents the collection he has gathered for the Washington Rural Heritage grant from the Washington State Library, and sponsored by Whatcom County Library System and Friends of Island Library.
