Dancing 'Round the Tree of Life

Local artist Doug Imhoff sees his art as an idea about ideas, within a framework of ideas — personal, esoteric, hard to pin down — like a radical number. Painting and drawing are a way of seeing, exploring, figuring out, ordering, learning and expressing. While creating, Imhoff follows his intuition to get to a satisfying conclusion. He refers to this expression of thought as a dance around the tree of life.

This exhibit features animal portraits. On display at the Deming Library, February 17 through March 25, during library open hours.
