Raising Brave Kids: A Workshop for Parents and Caregivers, Supporting Children Through Situational Anxiety In-Person
Join us in the meeting room of the library to learn simple, practical ways to support younger and elementary-aged children through common stressors like school refusal, separation anxiety, and big transitions. Walk away with tools to build your child’s confidence, strengthen connection, and respond calmly and raise brave kids.
Kathryn Defilippo works with Whatcom County Health and Community Services, supporting families and caregivers of young children with developmental needs, disabilities, and behavioral challenges. She enjoys working alongside parents and caregivers to share simple, practical tools that help kids feel safe, understood, and confident—and help families and providers feel more connected and supported.
Registration for this program is recommended but not required.
