Learning How to Learn: Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and other Educational Challenges In-Person

Presented in partnership with the Blaine-Birch Bay Park and Recreation District 2

BACK TO SCHOOL: IDEAS TO HELP THE NON-TYPICAL STUDENT

Two sessions on living, loving and learning about children who are non-typical students. Come to one or both sessions. Non-typical, unique learners are doing the best they can when they wiggle too much or appear to misbehave. Learn how, why and what to do from Suzanne Cresswell a pediatric occupational and physical therapist (retired) and author of Unique Learner Solutions.

During our first session you will understand the value of “detective mode” to see patterns and purpose in your student’s actions. During our second session learn how a child’s chaotic behavior can become coherent learning ready behavior.

Learning is acquiring knowledge, and involves our entire mind and body. Homeschool parents, family members, grandparents, teachers and daycare workers will enjoy this 60-minute informational event. Each participant will receive a copy of Suzanne's book, Unique Learners Solutions. Children with self-directed activities from home are welcome, but no childcare will be provided.
