Forest Walk with Jane Billinghurst In-Person
Join Jane Billinghurst for a forest walk at Stimpson Family Nature Reserve to delve into the forest ecosystem, find clues about the trees' history, and track down seasonal treasures. You will leave with a new appreciation for what is to be found under the trees, even on hikes you thought you knew well, and with ways to engage children in the adventure.
Jane Billinghurst is a nature lover, master gardener, editor, translator, and author of six books, including Forest Walking which she co-wrote with Peter Wohlleben. She has translated and edited several books by Peter Wohlleben, including the New York Times bestseller The Hidden Life of Trees. She lives in Anacortes, Washington, next to 2,800 acres of community forest lands.
Participation is limited to 16. Once you have registered, you will receive information on the specific location of the hike.
Suitable for ages 8+
This program is co-sponsored by our Summer Reading Challenge partner, Whatcom Million Trees Project.
