Summer Swap Series: Outdoor Recreation In-Person
Did spring cleaning pass you by? The library has you covered. Bring your old treasures and receive new ones at our summer-long community swap series! Help us divert materials from landfills while fostering community sharing. Leftover goods will be donated to local charity organizations.
July's theme is Outdoor Recreation! Unload yourself of some neglected gear and trade it out for something you need. We invite you to bring gear of all kinds: coolers, tents, camping chairs, hiking boots, clothing, fishing gear and more. If it is related to the great outdoors, it is welcome. Leftover goods will be donated to Ferndale Community Services, a local, grassroots 501c3 non-profit that serves Ferndale and North Whatcom County. The program Bridge 2 Services provides support to our unhoused neighbors, connecting them to the services they need. Donated camping gear helps ensure unsheltered individual's survival while they make progress toward their goals.
